Teaching your dog to go to their “place”/“bed” can be helpful in many ways. It gives you a chance to collect yourself or do your chores around the house without tripping over your dog or having to keep a hawk-eye on them, in fear of them getting into things they shouldn’t be getting into!

Here’s a breakdown on how to teach yo it dogs how to go to their BED & an intro to teaching them how to hold a DOWNSTAY.

Once you’ve got this command down, try moving the bed to different parts of the house and practicing the same training scenario so that your dog learns exactly what you mean & where to go, when you say, “Go to bed”.

PREREQUISITES: The dog should already know “down” reliably, in order to hold a true “bed” command.
